Talk Therapy Changes Negative Behavioral Patterns

Behavioral patterns can develop in childhood in reaction to perceived messages from within the family unit or from peers. Some of these reactions may be negative causing feelings of despair, loneliness and hopelessness contributing to the perpetuation of low self-esteem and the belief that we are failures. Such negative feelings about ourselves create self-defeating behaviors developing into patterns. In therapy we become more aware of what we do and why we do it leading to a process of problem solving and therapeutic change.
